These terms govern the use of carvicente.cv and the booking of car rental, tours, transfers and taxi services provided by Rent Auto Vicente, Lda. (“CarVicente”), based in Praia, Santiago, Cabo Verde. By booking, you accept these terms.
1. Bookings and confirmation
A booking is confirmed after payment (online or in person, depending on the chosen method) and the confirmation email. Prices shown on the site are final, in Cabo Verdean escudos (CVE), and fixed at booking time.
2. Rental requirements
The driver must be at least 21 years old, hold a driving licence valid for at least 1 year and an identification document. Vehicle handover depends on verifying these documents at pickup.
3. Payments
We accept Vinti4, PayPal and cash. Online payment is processed by external providers; CarVicente does not store card data. Unpaid bookings are held for 30 minutes, after which the dates are released.
4. Cancellations and changes
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the service starts. Later cancellations may be subject to retention. Date changes depend on availability.
5. Liability
Vehicles are delivered in good condition, with valid insurance and inspection. The customer is responsible for negligent use, applicable excess and infractions committed during the rental period.
6. Governing law
Cabo Verdean law applies. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the Praia courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules.
